From the model of quality of life and person-centered care (Kitwood, 1997), we present  a case study with the aim of evaluating the benefit of Snoezelen multisensory stimulation (SMS) in an 88-year-old subject with unspecified dementia, GDS6, and recurrent depressive disorder. For this purpose, a pretest-posttest design was chosen, with an intervention consisting of one  weekly  Snoezelen  session  for  five  weeks.  To  assess  the  effects of the intervention, a record of the physiological and behavioral profile of the person was used. The results include both the
immediate effects of SMS and those after two hours. In conclusion, the Snoezelen intervention produced immediate and short-term benefits  in terms of connection with the environment and behavioral adjustment in an elderly patient with advanced  dementia.
